I captured this drone aerial panorama of Kaua'i's South Shore on a very windy day. It pushed my drone system, quite a bit, to get out for the shot and get back safely. This incredible view, however, was worth it. I've lived on Oahu, Lana'i, and Maui... but Kaua'i is still my favorite island. The South Shore, around Poipu Beach is bright and sunny... just the opposite of the North Shore, around Hanalei, that tends to be lush, wet, and green.
Poipu Beach, on the Island of Kana'i, is one of my favorite beaches in Hawaii. Calm, beautiful water and friendly people make this a wonderful place to just kick back and enjoy the uniquely beautiful places in Hawaii.
This is a remote side of Island of Lana'i that most visitors never see. The Kaunolu Village site is where King Kamehameha I is believed to have had a part-time residence. This drone aerial perspective brings out the rugged and remote beauty of this very special place.
