As much as I love working with a drone... there are some things that drones just can't do very well. When it comes to a night sky time lapse... a DSLR, on a tripod, is the tool of choice. This was shot at Hulopo'e Beach on the Island of Lana'i. There is very little light pollution on this remote Island... which can produces some spectacular night sky images.
This panorama was actually captured the "old fashioned way"... with a DSLR on a tripod. I lived on the Island of Lana'i, for 25 years, and this is one of my favorite scenes on the island. From this vantage point, you can see Manalei Gulch on the left, Koloiki Ridge in the middle, and Naio Gulch on the right.
