I photographed this Pueo (Hawaiian Owl), hunting mice, on the Island of Lana'i. This was back in the days when pineapple fields still covered the island. At one point, Pueos could be seen in large numbers on Lana'i. After the pineapple production stopped... the pineapple fields went aways, and so did the mice... and, sadly, so did the Pueo. This beautiful bird is rarely seen on Lana'i these days.
I photographed these Spinner Dolphins cruising along a sandy bottom in Hawaii. The lighting and colors almost make this appear to be a painting instead of a photograph.
Looking for a new way to "see a seashell" in this shot. My friend let me borrow this beautiful Trident Seashell to try for some unique underwater shots. There was no living creature inside the shell. This turned out to be my favorite shot... just letting the shell glide down through this beautiful underwater scene in Hawaii. This print is available, in a variety of sizes, on metal or canvas.
